MUMU Sushi Bar offers traditional Japanese cuisine with a twist! They offer an option of making your own sushi roll, which for Ljubljana’s food scene, is something totally new.
Ms. Lin, veteran restauranteur of Asian cuisine in Ljubljana, jumped on opportunity to expand, when shopping mall Supernova Rudnik made an expansion and dedicated a whole wing to brand new food court.
They called me to get on the wagon and help with not only design the visuals for this fun new venture, but also help with food island design. We worked closely with Demšar Arhitekti, a well know architectural biro from Ljubljana, on designing a food island that respected classic Japanese minimalism, but still implanted some uniqueness with special details. We kept it feeling warm with a nice, solid locally sourced oak wood and finished with rosy copper sheets for some colour and depth.
I kept the idea of fun minimalism and warmth through logo design and other assets.
